Rose (Gahagan) Pfeifer-Lob passed away peacefully in her sleep early on the morning of November 15th at her home in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Rose was born November 21, 1926 in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, the 10th of 12 children to Harry and Mamie Alice (Murphy) Gahagan.
Rose attended various county grade schools and graduated from Elkhart Lake High School in 1944. After working for 1 ½ years she attended the Sheboygan County Teachers College until her mother’s illness when she went home to help care for her. She was a Secretary/Bookkeeper for several years for the Weiss Implement Company.
Rose married Lloyd Pfeifer on October 9th, 1948 in Glenbeulah, Wisconsin and resided in that area for five years before moving to Plymouth, Wisconsin in 1953 where they raised their four children.
Rose enjoyed golfing, dancing, playing cards and was always an avid reader. She also loved doing crossword puzzles and traveling.
She is survived by her four children: Rowen (Patty) Pfeifer of Murfreesboro, TN; Randall Pfeifer of Madison, WI; Lana Peterson of Hope, ID; and Russell (Shelee) Pfeifer of Boise, ID. Grandchildren are Blake Peterson of Moscow, ID; Lindsey (Pfeifer) Hennemann of Murfreesboro, TN; Jonathan Pfeifer of Murfreesboro, TN; and one great grandchild, Alex Pfeifer of Murfreesboro, TN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
After residing in Sheboygan, WI for 10 years she moved to Clearwater, FL for several years where she worked as a Sales Representative.
Rose married John (Al) Lob on February 21, 1989 in Waukesha, WI. They resided in Fox Point, WI for several years before retiring to Hot Springs Village, AR where she continued to enjoy line dancing, golf with the Duffers, playing cards, working crossword puzzles, reading and traveling.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John (Al) Lob, and her first husband, Lloyd Pfeifer, seven brothers and four sisters and one son-in-law, Randy Peterson.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 19, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at CedarVale Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of your choice. Her cremains will be entombed at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
